Around 5 pm, 10 to 15 people came to the event and alleged that the event was organized in collaboration with an Awami League worker. At that time, the clash broke out due to an argument.

Convener of the Zia Manch Doublemooring Police Station Committee Md. Delwar told reporters, “As per the central directive, we were distributing iftar food to 300 people. People also came to get iftar. Rakib, Yunus and Selim came and tore the banner of our leader. Then they attacked our boys. They threw our 300 biryani packets on the road. They came with hockey sticks, sticks and knives. They beat us indiscriminately.”

Delwar said, “When Rakib tried to stab me, I moved away and the blow hit Khurshid.”

On the other hand, Khurshid and Rakib alleged that Delwar attacked them with Awami League people.
